NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE

BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SERRANO WATER DISTRICT

The Board of Directors of the Serrano Water District will hold a special meeting of the District’s Board of Directors at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the offices of Serrano Water District located at 18021 East Lincoln Street, Villa Park, California.  The only items of business to be considered at this special meeting are as set forth in the following agenda.

1.         PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND MOMENT OF SILENCE

3.         MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY PRESENTATION BY JOE BERG - WATER CONSERVATION

 

            Recommended Action:  Informational.

 

4.         PUBLIC COMMENT (Public comments are limited to three minutes per person.)

 

5.         BOARD MEETING MINUTES:   June 12, 2018

           

   Recommended Action:  Approve minutes.

 

6.         GENERAL MANAGER’S REPORT:   General Manager will summarize the status of Board Committee, management and operations matters outlined below:

 

  1. Construction and Maintenance Committee
  2. Finance and Insurance Committees
  3. Personnel and Media/Public Affairs Committees
  4. SWD and Recreation Operations Committees
  5. Security and Ad Hoc Irvine Lake Committees
  6. Special Districts and City Liaison Committees
  7. Santiago Reservoir, Groundwater, Imported and Regional Water Issues
  8. External Agencies and Issues:OCWD, MWDOC, City of Orange, Orange County
  9. Operational Items: Distribution System, Ground Water, Santiago Reservoir, Treatment Plant, Other Informational Items.

 

7.         FINANCIAL REPORT:  The Business Manager will submit the District’s current financial condition based on the written reports to the board.

 

            Recommended Action:           1.  Receive and file financial report.

                                                            2.  Approve bills for payment of $463,281.10                                  
             3.  Approve bills for SWD Recreation, Inc. of $0.

                                                            4.  Approve committee recommendations regarding transfers and investments.

                                               

8.         WATER REPORT:  The Business Manager will submit the District’s water supply and quality report.

 

            Recommended Action:  Receive and file water report.

 

9.         2018/2019 BUDGET

 

            Recommended Action:  Adopt the 2018/2019 budget as presented.

 

10.       RESOLUTION NO. 2018-07-01 OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SERRANO WATER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING AUTHORIZATION ON ACCOUNTS HELD WITH FARMERS AND MERCHANTS BANK OF LONG BEACH

 

            Recommended Action:  Approve Resolution No. 2018-07-01 as presented.

 

11.       RESOLUTION NO. 2018-07-02 OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SERRANO WATER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING CERTAIN RESERVE GOALS AND ALLOCATING DISTRICT FUND TO DESIGNATED RESERVE ACCOUNTS

 

            Recommended Action:  Approve Resolution No. 2018-07-02 as presented.

 

12.       WELL 3 MOTOR FAILURE EMERGENCY REPLACEMENT

 

            Recommended Action:  Authorize the General Manager retrospectively to issue a purchase order in the amount of $34,876.55 for the emergency replacement of the motor at well 3.

 

13.       WHITE NELSON DIEHL EVANS LLP AUDITING SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2018

 

            Recommended Action:  Informational.
