NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE

BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SERRANO WATER DISTRICT

            The Board of Directors of the Serrano Water District will hold a special meeting of the District’s Board of Directors at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the offices of Serrano Water District located at 18021 East Lincoln Street, Villa Park, California.  The only items of business to be considered at this special meeting are as set forth in the following agenda.

7. BOARD MEETING MINUTES:   April 11, 2017 & April 27, 2017     

Recommended Action:  Approve minutes.

8. GENERAL MANAGER’S REPORT:   General Manager will summarize the status of Board Committee, management and operations matters outlined below:

1. Construction and Maintenance Committee
2. Finance and Insurance Committees
3. Personnel and Media/Public Affairs Committees
4. SWD and Recreation Operations Committees
5. Security and Ad Hoc Irvine Lake Committees
6. Special Districts and City Liaison Committees
7. Santiago Reservoir, Groundwater, Imported and Regional Water Issues
8. External Agencies and Issues:  OCWD, MWDOC, City of Orange, Orange County

9. FINANCIAL REPORT:  The Director of Finance and Administration will submit the district’s current financial condition based on the written reports to the board.

            Recommended Action:           1.  Receive and file financial report.

                                                            2.  Approve bills for payment of $199,484.10

                                                            3.  Approve bills for SWD Recreation, Inc. of $0

10. WATER REPORT:  The Director of Finance and Administration will submit the District’s water supply and quality report.

            Recommended Action:  Receive and file water report.

11. DISTRICT RULES AND REGULATIONS

            Recommended Action:  Approve as presented.

12. BAD DEBT WRITE-OFFS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017

            Recommended Action:  Board of Director’s authorization for write-offs of $1,835.21

13. PURCHASE OF BACKHOE

            Recommended Action:  Authorize General Manager to issue purchase order in the amount of $96,220.85.

14. PATROL SERVICES FOR IRVINE LAKE

            Recommended Action:  Authorize General Manager to enter into an agreement with Patrol One Services for three months.

15. PROPOSAL FROM IT PROBLEM SOLVERS TO UPGRADE DISTRICT NETWORK SERVER

            Recommended Action:  Approve proposal as presented.

16. CORRESPONDENCE

            Recommended Action:  Informational only.
