4.         BOARD MEETING MINUTES:   August 8, 2017

Recommended Action:  Approve minutes.

5.         GENERAL MANAGER’S REPORT:   General Manager will summarize the status of Board Committee, management and operations matters outlined below:

1. Construction and Maintenance Committee
2. Finance and Insurance Committees
3. Personnel and Media/Public Affairs Committees
4. SWD and Recreation Operations Committees
5. Security and Ad Hoc Irvine Lake Committees
6. Special Districts and City Liaison Committees
7. Santiago Reservoir, Groundwater, Imported and Regional Water Issues
8. External Agencies and Issues:  OCWD, MWDOC, City of Orange, Orange County 
9. Operational Items: Distribution System, Ground Water, Santiago Reservoir, Treatment Plant, Other Informational Items.

6.         FINANCIAL REPORT:  The Director of Finance and Administration will submit the district’s current financial condition based on the written reports to the board.

Recommended Action: 1.  Receive and file financial report.
2.  Approve bills for payment of $265,164.90
3.  Approve bills for SWD Recreation, Inc. of $0 

7.         WATER REPORT:  The Director of Finance and Administration will submit the District’s water supply and quality report.

Recommended Action:  Receive and file water report.

8.         RESOLUTION NO. 2017-09-01 OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SERRANO WATER DISTRICT REVIEWING, AMENDING AND RESTATING THE DISTRICT’S STATEMENT OF INVESTMENT POLICY

Recommended Action:  Adopt Resolution No. 2017-09-01 as presented.

9.         WELL #5 VFD BIDS

Recommended Action:  Authorize General Manager to issue a purchase order in the amount of $98,345.00 to Hunter Electric with an additional 10% contingency of up to $9,835.00 for the purchase and installation of a variable frequency drive on Well #5.

10.       WELL #5 MAINTENANCE

Recommended Action:  Authorize General Manager to issue a purchase order in the amount of $110,000 to General Pump Company with an additional contingency of up to $22,000  to perform maintenance on the Well #5 pump and well.
